Cheese Scones
Homemade Strawberry Jam
Been Surfing through blogs on what recipe to try next and came across
few recipes on Jam making.
Never think of making jam at home as different kinds can be easily found
in any super marts.
Decided this recipe from < Happy Home Baking > to make strawberry Jam.
http://happyhomebaking.blogspot.com/2009/02/banana-blueberry-jam.html
A little too sweet but goes well with bread, Scones or swiss roll.
It's easy and fast to make and also a good idea for friends as Christmas gifts.

Century Egg Porridge
It's hot sunny morning and decide to make this for breakfast. Our family likes porridge very much especially Century egg's. It's a must order whenever we have Dim Sum at restaurant.I added some dried scallop, salted eggs and minced pork. It's best to go with You Cha Kway, akind of deep fry dough stick.

Omelette is one of the favourite dish in kids's menu and decided to make Omurice for today's lunch. Omurice is named by Japanese for rice omelette.
This is my 1st time making it and used only ingredients in my fridge like Chicken, Ham and fresh tomato for the tomato rice. You can add any ingredient up to yr preference.
The tomato rice tasted sweet and sour which appertising to kids,
My nieces enjoyed having them despite the ugly folding.

1 1/2 oyster sauce
1 tbsp ginger juice
1 tbsp cornflour
pinch of pepper
1/2 tbsp sesame oil

3. Wrap with pandan leaves
4. Deep fry in oil.
5. Ready to serve with cold cut cucumber / tomatos.
Sweet Black Glutinous Rice aka Bulut Hitam
Made desert for family today. One of my mum's favorite's, Bulut Hitam.
Followed to KC's recipe. It's Simple , cheap and fast. The ingredients cost me less
than $ 5 and yeild about 10 bowls. Every one enjoyed eating it. I modified by using
light brown sugar instead of Gula maleka and addedd few pandan leaves .As one of the
KC's members tips to add handful of white glutious rice to get smoother texture,
i added white rice instead. Result : Works well. Lastly , remember to cook coconut
milk with a pinch of salt to avoid it from turning sour.
